RvRoofMagic will dry at temps above 50 degrees. It can actually go below freezing at night after application but will not continue to dry until it gets above 50 again during the day. This makes it one of the best versatile products for the RV community!

Why is Liquid RV Roof Magic the Best Sealant & Roof Coating?

With over a 25-year history of success, join the thousands who have already benefited from a system specifically formulated for the RV, Trailer and Mobile Home industry. Never a primer needed and backed by a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty.

When looking for a long-term roof solution to your roof leak or extending your roof’s life another 18-20 years, it is critical to look at the specifics of each product. We have outlined several very important benefits in our WHY CHOOSE RvRoofMagic. But let’s look at the overall cost decision, what is the cost per square footage per gallon and the resulting mil rate when dry? The thicker the mil rate the more protection and years added to your roof’s life. Does it require a primer or multiple coats? Why add unnecessary weight to a roof by using multiple-coat systems? These questions will not only determine the overall price you are paying for the product but also the additional installation time and costs. Our RvRoofMagic is a one-coat process, saving you time and money. There are no primers needed, so when you add up the cost of other systems that require primers and multiple coats, you have far exceeded the cost of RvRoofMagic. Also, our product is a solvent-based system not water-based making our product a superior choice. Why? Because they are significantly less susceptible to climate conditions, movement, freezing temperatures and have a very high resistant to extreme weather conditions.

RvRoofMagic has a thicker consistency that other coatings and results in a 20-mil film thickness. Other coatings may require 2 or 3 coats to achieve the same thickness. One of the main characteristics that makes RvRoofMagic so unique is the chemistry in the drying process. As the product dries it chemically cross-links, creating a chemical bond whereby the RvRoofMagic and your roof fuse together to become one in the same. Also, during the drying process the product will force out, and up to the surface, what would otherwise be trapped air (in other types of roof coatings). This is the reason other coatings have a tendency to crack after a few years especially elastomerics and water-based coatings. Our RvRoofMagic has a 500% elongation and over 1520 psi tensile strength allowing it to handle expansion and contraction due to temperature/climate changes. What you have when the product dries is a smooth seamless membrane.

RvRoofMagic can be applied directly on more types of roofs than other coatings on the market without the need for special primers. It has been the #1 recommended product time and time again by RV repair shops and customers throughout the USA as an economical and long-lasting solution. A proven alternative to roof replacement.

Over the years, we have received valuable feedback from RV owners, repair shops and our retail outlets. We continue to listen to our customers and value their input in makingour product the best on the market!

Question

For EPDM roofs, apply a "flash coat" (a very light coat) approx. 200 sq. ft 1.5 gallon resulting in 6-8 Mil. Then, once the product dries, the final coat at 50 sq. ft per gallon, resulting in 20 wet mil.
You can chalk off your roof into sections, six feet long since the unit is a standard eight ft wide. Each of those chalked-off areas will require a gallon. The flash coat will not require any additional product to be ordered.
Assuming your daytime temperatures are above 50 degrees, the product will dry in 3-4 hours.
The lower the temperature the longer it will take to dry.
That is one of the many great benefits of the product. You apply today and drive off tomorrow!
A gallon will cover 50 square feet
The easiest way is to chalk off your roof into a 10 X 5, 50 square feet. Once you are done filling in one of these sections you should be done with a gallon of the material.
One gallon and four gallon pails. Each gallon will cover 50 sq. ft.
The Rubex caulk was field tested to be compatible with RvRoofMagic and is used around the perimeters of the roof where loose caulk needs to be removed. It is also used around the vents and AC’s. Each tube covers approximately 15 linear feet.
Assuming temperatures are above 50 degrees, within four hours.
No this is a single component moisture cure product.
A long nap roller. For the verticals and around vents and AC’s, a brush.
No. As it is a solvent based product, that is one of the benefits. So, you are saving money and time with a one-component product.
Fortunately, RvRoofMagic takes the guess-work out of needing to worry about that. RvRoofMagic can go directly over the following:
  • EPDM
  • PVC
  • Fiberglass
  • Butyl Rubber
  • Alpha Rubber roofs
  • Roofs that were coated with a 3rd party coating like an acrylic
NOTE: RvRoofMagic will not adhere to a silicone surface
We suggest washing the roof with a mild detergent such as Dawn or Simple Green. Also for existing rubber roof you will want to use our Roof Protect to wash your roof prior to the application. Otherwise over time you roof may turn black in those areas. Be sure the surface is perfectly dry before applying.
