Depending on the age and overall condition of your EPDM roof some customers may experience slight bubbling. This is just a temporary aesthetics situation, and the product will self-level as the solvent evaporates to the surface. To avoid any potential bubbling during the drying process we suggest applying a “flash coat” of the RvRoofMagic (a very light coat). YOU DO NOT NEED MORE THAN 0.75 gal per 100 square feet. The flash coat DOES NOT require purchasing additional RvRoofMagic. Too thick of a flash coat may result in temporary bubbling of the material. A minimum 7-10-hour dry time depending on temperature is suggested before proceeding with main coat. Cooler temps or high humidity may retard your cure times. The flash coat should be completely dry before applying the final coat. After September, we suggest at least 36 hours between flash coat and main coat due to environmental conditions. Cooler ambient air temperatures and active dew points play a factor in the flash coat as they will also increase cure times.

Assuming your daytime temperatures are above 50 degrees, the product will dry in 3-4 hours.
The lower the temperature the longer it will take to dry.

That is one of the many great benefits of the product. You apply today and drive off tomorrow!

A gallon will cover 50 square feet

The easiest way is to chalk off your roof into a 10 X 5, 50 square feet. Once you are done filling in one of these sections you should be done with a gallon of the material.

One gallon and four gallon pails. Each gallon will cover 50 sq. ft.

The Butyl MS Caulk was field tested to be compatible with RvRoofMagic and is used around the perimeters of the roof where loose caulk needs to be removed. It is also used around the vents and AC’s. Each tube covers approximately 15 linear feet.

Assuming temperatures are above 50 degrees, within four hours.

No this is a single component moisture cure product.

A 3/8 inch nap roller.  And for verticals and around vents and AC’s a paintbrush.

Our proprietary solvent used in our product it allows the product to be put on all the surfaces we outlined on our website except for silicone. This is reason you will never need a primer. That is our customers save both time and money with our one coat system.

Fortunately, RvRoofMagic takes the guess-work out of needing to worry about that. RvRoofMagic can go directly over the following:

  • EPDM
  • Can be applied directly over any non-silicone product such as Dicor, Kool Seal and elastomeric.
  • Alpha rubber roof made by Fleetwood RV’s.
  • Fiberglass
  • Butyl rubber
  • Hypalon rubber
  • Metal
  • NOTE: Cannot be applied over PVC roofs or silicone coatings. This will result in the product remaining tacky.
  • Vinyl-adhesion test is required.
  • TPO

For proper cleaning prior to the application of the RvRoofMagic we strongly recommend that you use the Roof Protect cleaner on our order form. Once it is exposed to oxygen it actually emulsifies (breaks down) the dirt from the surface plus it has a build in mildewcide to kill any living mold spores prior to the application of the RvRoofMagic. You should get approximately 3-4 washes out of the gallon container. The first washing it is a 5-1 ratio and for subsequent washes it is a 10-1 ratio
