Yes the rv roof magic can go over fiberglass it just won't go over any silicone based coatings. yes you would apply the caulk first let that dry and then the RvRoofMagic

The fabric is used in conjunction with our SeamTight. You would apply a linear line along the the seam with our SeamTight and embed the fabric and let dry. Then the next day coat over the fabric with the SeamTight and let dry. Then you can apply the RvRoofMagic over the entire roof. That way you are totally encapsulating the fabric and you won't have to worry about that seam again

that is correct as far as we know this is the only product that can go directly over TPO without a primer and is a single coat application

yes but we suggest lightly sanding the tape first and apply a thin layer of contact cement and let that dry before applying the rvroofmagic over the eternabond

Bubbling would occur if you did not put down the flash coat. Since the product has solvents in it (which is a very good thing!) if you put down the entire first coat it will cause the product to swell as the solvent escapes so it will take much longer for the product to lay flat. With a very light flash coat you don't have that issue. See below for additional information. You will want to wait at least 24 hours before applying the main coat over the flash coat

If you have an existing EPDM roof, it is important for you to apply a very light coat (a flash coat, approximately 4 mil, or the thickness of two pieces of paper). Failure to do so will result in swelling of the membrane which will require additional days for the product to settle. The final coat will be at a 16 mil thickness. Divide the length of your RV by the number of remaining gallons. This number will tell you the length of the sections needed for each gallon. For example, if your trailer is 24 feet long, you will need 4 gallons. One gallon will be for your flash coat. The remaining three gallons will be for the final coat. After your flash coat, divide your 24 ft long tailer by three (the number of remaining gallons), resulting in eight-foot-long sections. Each of your remaining gallons will cover one of these 8 ft sections.

Well, when looking for a RV coating, you first want to be sure it is one that is used specifically for the industry and has been tested. Also, quick dry time and some technical properties such as tensile strength and elongation are very important since you are driving your unit. Also, from a cost savings perspective, you want to look for a product that is a one-coat system and in particular, a product that can go on all types of roofs. Many of us, particularly those who had purchased a used RV, have no idea what type of roof or coating was applied to their roof. RVroofMagic can go on any RV roof type.

Yes that is a normal wear of an epdm roof. You are never going to get all the black off. Usually with other product you would need to get a primer or at the very least apply two coats. With rvroofmagic you still only need one coat. We do suggest 40 sq ft per gallon vs 50 thank you

Yes you can but on wood you would need to apply at 30 sq ft per gallon otherwise you would see the wood grains coming through the application when it dries. Also you will need a polyester mesh fabric reinforcement between coats thank you

A There are several product differences that have evolved over the past 15 years. First it can be applied over any type of RV trailer or mobile home even if there is a 3rd party coating applied over the original roof. There is a built in mildewcide to deter mold from growing on the roof and it has a very high percent of volume solids a high tensile strength making it hold up in all types of temperature extremes. The chemistry and the curing process is really what makes this stand out.

There is a special type of catalyst in the material and once it is applied it forces up to the surface what would otherwise be trapped air. This is a process of chemical cross-linking where by as the product dries it will literally chemically bond itself to the substrate. Very different that a product that simply dried on top of a surface.
