Is RV roof magic good on painted metal? Such as a van roof that has had rust repairs.

I have a van that is converted to camper that I had to do some rust repair on.  Most of it is covered in factory paint in good condition, some is new bare metal and some is light rust that had rustoleum rust reformer applied.

light rust you are fine you can coat directly over it
