Today, there is a wide selection on the market to help you protect your RV roof and its components from the elements. This sealant is usually a liquid, but there are also some sealant tape products available today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Part of your RV roof maintenance should include checking all the seals and seams for cracks and damage. Even the smallest sign of a crack needs to be repaired immediately so that it doesn\u2019t lead to all the damage mentioned earlier. It sticks quickly and securely so make sure that you\u2019ve got it where you need it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The liquid sealant, also called lap sealant, is caulk-like in its application so that you can use it to seal seams around roof components and fixtures, screw holes, wires and antennas, and other areas. It\u2019s a durable, yet flexible sealant that won\u2019t harden or break over time like some products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, there is rubber roof coating, which is usually found in sheets, tapes, or patch kits. These coatings are best for an all-over sealing or recoating as opposed to small repairs and seam patches. It\u2019s available in EPDM and TPO, but that\u2019s another conversation entirely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Usually, people find that the RV roof sealant in the caulk-like form provides the best solution for keeping seams secure and watertight to prevent damage.
